see who viewed or downloaded a shared file

for high-stakes shares (a contract, a financial doc, a project deliverable), the activity log on each file shows every view and download — with timestamps and visitor identifiers.

    open the file's detail drawer

    click the file from your list to open its detail panel.

    open the activity tab

    the activity tab shows uploads, view events, downloads, share-link creations, share views, and any comment activity — newest first.

    use it for accountability

    if a customer says "i never got the contract," the activity log shows whether the link was opened. if a designer says "the file was leaked," the share-view rows show the visitor identifiers.

    tip

    public viewers (someone who opened the share link) show up with a hashed visitor id, not their raw ip — that's a privacy choice. you can still tell distinct visitors apart, just not who they are out in the world.
