possum

use a saved totp code for 2fa

when a platform asks for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app, possum has it built in. paste the totp secret once at setup; possum generates the rotating codes from then on.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

set up totp at the platform

when the platform shows a qr code at 2fa setup, click "can't scan?" — they'll show the secret string. copy it.

  2. 2

paste it into possum's totp field

open the matching possum entry, edit, paste into the totp secret field. save.

  3. 3

generate the code at login time

when the platform asks for the 6-digit code, open possum, find the entry, tap reveal — the current totp code is right there with a 30-second countdown. tap copy and paste it.

    tip

totp eliminates the "oh no my phone died" failure mode. as long as you can unlock possum, you can produce the code from any device. way better than authy + sms backup.
