scan a stack of receipts at once

for the end-of-month catchup when you've got 30 receipts in the truck. sassafras's batch mode handles them one after the other without you tapping save every time.

    open sassafras and tap "batch scan"

    the batch button sits next to "new receipt". it opens a continuous scan mode designed for stacks.

    snap, snap, snap

    shoot one receipt after another. sassafras processes each in the background, so you don't wait. the running count of scanned receipts shows in the top corner.

    review at the end

    when you're done, hit "finish". sassafras drops you on a review screen with all the receipts in a list. quickly scan for any that flagged warnings and fix them. the rest auto-categorize and feed into katydid.

    tip

    shoot in good lighting and lay each receipt flat. the difference between a clean batch (no manual fixes needed) and a messy one is usually just lighting and angle. take an extra 2 seconds per receipt; save 10 minutes of fixes.
