the daily scan cap and what hits it

the lower subscription tiers have a daily scan limit to keep ai costs sane. the banner at the top of the page tells you what you've used. here's how the cap actually works.

    the banner at the top

    shows scans used today and resets at midnight in your local timezone. the count includes uploads + email-in + batch scans.

    samples don't count

    the demo "sample receipts" on the scan page are pre-parsed — they don't burn a scan from your daily allowance.

    if you hit the cap

    the upload buttons go disabled until midnight or until you upgrade your tier. for end-of-month catchup days, plan to spread scans across two days or upgrade temporarily.

    tip

    the cap exists because ai-vision costs scale per-scan. business tiers raise it; the highest tier removes it. if you regularly hit the cap, your tier is too low for your scan volume.
