open bluegill
click "bluegill" in the sidebar. on first visit you land on the setup tab.

name the bot and pick an avatar
give it a name (your business name works fine) and pick an avatar — or upload your logo.

fill in hours, services, and faqs
this is what the bot answers from. the more honest detail you give it, the better the answers. ten faqs covers most small businesses.

save the draft, then publish
draft and publish are separate so you can experiment. when you hit publish, your public chat link goes live in the top card.
tip
test the bot on yourself before you embed it anywhere. open the public link and ask the questions a real customer would ask.
