build a bundle (multiple products as one line)

for kits and bundled offers — "starter pack: 3 candles + 1 holder." a bundle is a parent product whose components are other magpie products. the customer sees one line; you keep stock and cost data per component.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

open the product dialog and pick "bundle"

in the new product form, the kind selector has "simple" and "bundle". pick bundle.

  2. 2

    add components

the "bundle" tab lets you pick from your existing magpie catalog. set quantity per component. the bundle's price can be a fixed total (regardless of component prices) or the sum.

  3. 3

    decide on visibility

toggle "show components on invoices" if you want the customer to see the breakdown. toggle off and the customer only sees the bundle line — useful when bundle pricing differs from component pricing.

    tip

bundles work great for nightjar — when an invoice with the bundle is paid, stock deducts from each component automatically. one paid invoice, three stock changes.
