archive a quote without losing it

for quotes you don't want cluttering the active list — declined ones you've moved on from, accepted ones already invoiced, expired ones — archive instead of delete. the audit history stays intact.

    open the quote

    any quote past draft can be archived — sent, viewed, accepted, declined, expired, converted.

    click archive

    the action row has an "archive" button. the quote disappears from the default tabs and lives in the "archived" tab.

    unarchive if you change your mind

    open the archived tab, find the quote, click "unarchive". it returns to whatever status it had before (declined goes back to declined, etc.).

    tip

    drafts can be deleted outright since they were never seen. only archive — never delete — anything that's been sent. customers might ask for a copy six months later.
