set max redemptions and max-per-customer

otter caps redemptions in two ways — total across all customers, or per customer. for a flash sale, you might want "first 50 customers only". for a thank-you, "once per customer."

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

    open the promo

the form has "max redemptions" (total) and "max per customer" fields.

  2. 2

set the cap that fits the campaign

max redemptions = total cap ("first 50 to use it"). max per customer = per-person cap ("each customer once"). leaving either blank means unlimited.

  3. 3

watch the cap fill in real time

the dashboard shows current redemption count vs. cap. once the total cap hits, otter rejects new redemptions automatically — no late surprises.

    tip

for one-and-done promos, set max-per-customer to 1 — it's the cleanest way to keep one person from grinding the same code against five different invoices.
