save a customer's card for one-tap re-charges

with the customer's permission, pawpaw stores their card as a saved payment method. next time they owe you, you can charge the saved card without sending a payment link.

  1. 1

    the customer pays an invoice

on the public pawpaw-pay page, the "save my card for next time" checkbox is on by default. when they pay, stripe vaults the card and pawpaw links it to their email.

  2. 2

see saved cards on the dragonfly contact

open the contact in dragonfly. the "payment methods" section lists every saved card — brand, last 4, exp date.

  3. 3

(coming soon) charge a saved card from a new invoice

the "charge saved card" picker on new invoices reads from this same list. once that flow is wired, you'd pick the card and the customer doesn't even need to click pay.

    tip

removing a card is one-click — pawpaw soft-archives the row and detaches the payment method from stripe so it can no longer be charged.
