open the transactions tab
the direction filter sits in the toolbar — defaults to "all".

pick "in" or "out"
in shows only money you took in (revenue, refunds reversed, owner contributions). out shows only money you spent. the totals at the top recompute to match.

stack with date filters
set from + to to scope to a specific period — last quarter's revenue, this month's expenses.
tipfor a quick gut-check, set direction to "in" + date to "this month" — that's revenue this month. then "out" + same date — that's expenses. compare in your head; if it's close, you're not making money.
