set the bot's name and opening greeting

the first thing a visitor sees is your bot's name in the header and its greeting in the chat window. these set the tone before any answer.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

    open the setup tab

name + greeting sit at the top.

  2. 2

type a name visitors will recognize

your business name works fine. "acme assistant" or "hi i'm sam" works too — depends on whether you want a corporate or human voice.

  3. 3

rewrite the greeting in your voice

the default is generic. rewrite to match how you'd actually answer the phone — "hey! what can i help with?" beats "how may i assist you today."

    tip

the greeting is what shows on the public link before anyone types a message. lead with what the bot can actually do — "ask about pricing, services, or hours."
