set up your first punch-card program

the digital version of "buy 9 get 1 free." works for shops where every visit is the same value — coffee, car washes, classes. set the program up once and start enrolling customers.

    open firefly

    click "firefly" in the sidebar.

    click "new program"

    name it something the customer would understand on a sign — "buy 9 get 1 free coffee," "free wash after 5 visits."

    set the punch count and reward

    10 is the default punch count, but go with whatever your margin supports — 5, 8, 9, 12. the reward label is what the customer sees when they're one punch away.

  4. 4

    save and the program goes live

    you can start enrolling members at the counter immediately.

    tip

    firefly is for fixed-value businesses. for variable-spend (salons, contractors, retail with mixed ticket sizes), use cattail's points-based loyalty instead — points scale with what they actually spend.
