track condition so broken gear stays out of jobs

every piece of equipment has a condition tag — new, good, fair, needs repair, or retired. anything tagged "needs repair" automatically drops out of crawdad's job-assignment picker.

    open the equipment card

    find the item that needs a condition update.

    set the condition

    drop the condition to "needs repair" the moment something stops working right. don't wait until you're back at the shop — do it from the field.

    watch crawdad respect it

    anything in "needs repair" doesn't appear in crawdad's equipment-assignment dropdown. you can't accidentally schedule a job that depends on a broken rig.

    tip

    set a re-check date for retired or out-for-repair items. without it, things sit in "needs repair" forever and the list gets stale.
