oyster

what oyster knows how to track

oyster ships with a fixed set of categories that cover the deadlines that fine you. don't see your category? use "other" and set the expiry manually — the calendar still nudges.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

    the built-in categories

llc filing (articles of organization / incorporation), ein letter, operating agreement, certificate of insurance, registered agent, boi/cta, annual report, business license, tax filing, contract, other.

  2. 2

    fileable vs informational

annual report, business license, registered agent, boi/cta, llc filing — oyster knows the state portals for these and shows a "file this" button. the rest are informational (you upload + track expiry, but there's no portal to file at).

  3. 3

    what to use "other" for

drop anything you want a deadline tracker for — sales-tax permit, franchise registration, professional license, even your business credit card review date.

    tip

don't try to wedge everything into oyster. for client contracts and project deliverables, loblolly + bullfrog handle that better. oyster is for the stuff that fines you when missed.
