archive a page (and restore it later)

tortoise pages soft-delete via archive. the page disappears from the tree but the content + revisions survive — restore it any time before you actually purge.

3 steps~2 min
  1. 1

click archive in the editor toolbar

the archive button is in the top-right of the editor. confirm to archive.

  2. 2

    the page leaves the sidebar

the tree refreshes without it. children of an archived page also disappear from the active tree.

  3. 3

    restoring

today, restore is a manual step (the api supports it but the ui doesn't surface a "trash" view yet). if you archived something by mistake, ping support — it's recoverable.

    tip

for a page you might want back someday, archive instead of permanently deleting. the storage cost is essentially zero.
