alligator is the planning room — you map out what posts and emails go out which week before you ever open the publisher. start with the month view.

alligator uses a three-state ladder so the calendar shows what's still being thought about, what's drafted and queued, and what actually shipped.

the month view is best for planning the shape of the month. the agenda view is best when you sit down on a monday and want to see what's on deck this week.

ideas have a way of arriving when you're busy. drop them into a future date in alligator so you don't lose them — flesh out the brief when you have time.

alligator is the planning room, not the publisher. when a card is ready, you take the brief into the module that actually publishes — muscadine for social, mudpuppy for email, foxfire for a gbp post.

the status filter chips at the top of the calendar narrow the grid to just ideas, just ready, just done — or all. lets you see the shape of your pipeline at a glance.

every plan card can carry attachments — a photo for the post, a draft of the email body, a brief doc. files come from your bullfrog cloud storage so they're already there when you hand off to a publisher.

channel label is free text on purpose — type whatever fits your business. but standardizing makes the calendar way more useful.

the calendar color is driven by status (idea, ready, done) by default — but you can override per card with a custom color. helpful for recurring themes ("all summer-promo cards in green").

use the prev/next arrows at the top to flip months. clicking the month label jumps to today.

the agenda view collapses the calendar into a flat list grouped by week. every card with date, status, channel, and brief — top to bottom.
