firefly

redeem a reward when a customer cashes in

the customer hits their last punch and is owed the free item. firefly tracks the redemption so the same earned reward can't be cashed twice.

find them in the member list
their card shows a "reward earned" badge.

tap "redeem"
this stamps the redemption and resets the punch count to zero — they start over earning the next one.

give them the free item
the redemption logs with a timestamp so you've got the audit trail. the reward never gets paid out twice.
tip
give the free thing first, redeem in firefly second. customers feel the reward; the system catches up. the other way around feels transactional.
