what happens when a member redeems

redemption is the moment the customer cashes in their reward. firefly handles the bookkeeping cleanly so you can never accidentally pay the same earned reward twice.

    the redeem button shows on a full card

    when a member hits the punch count required, their row shows a "reward ready" badge and a redeem button.

    tap redeem

    the redemption is logged with a timestamp and the punch counter resets to zero. the member starts a fresh card.

    the audit trail

    every redemption is stamped with date, time, and which staff member's session triggered it. shows on the member's history. you've got the audit trail if a customer ever asks why their card reset.

    tip

    if you accidentally hit redeem on the wrong member, contact us — there isn't an undo button on redemption today, but we can adjust the record on the back end.
